On the convergence of the power flow methods for DC networks with mesh and radial structures

The convergence analysis of the power flow methodologies for direct current (dc) electrical networks is addressed in this paper. Banach fixed-point theorem employed to prove and uniqueness solution two different alternatives based on graph theory named successive approximations triangular-based flow. approximation method works with radial mesh grids, including multiple voltage-controlled sources. only deals structures one slack node. A six-nodes high-voltage dc system used illustrate graph-based methods under study. Three test feeders composed 33, 35, 69 nodes are validate effectiveness proposed approaches when compared classical such as Newton-Raphson Gauss-Seidel. In addition, large-scale distribution generated randomly 50 200 demonstrate scalability studied regarding processing time number iterations. All simulations have been conducted MATLAB software.
